DAY FOUR

It may be wise to not enjoy yourself too much at Kootenay Lake Lodge (very hard to do!)  as this is our longest riding day! (435 Km).  Our destination is Waterton national Park in southern Alberta and the historic Kilmorey Lodge. Contrasting terrain and interesting stops such as Alberta's Frank site (a town completely destroyed by a rock slide in 1903) dot the route.  The foothills of the Rocky Mountains give way to the massive expanse of the Alberta grain fields. Turning south we see, on the horizon, the mountains of Waterton.  This is truly a gem that you will not soon forget!

DAY FIVE

Today we dip into the United States and Glacier national Park with one purpose in mind....the "Going to the Sun Highway." This delight is the best motorcycling road we have found and the scenery is absolutely awe inspiring.  (obviously we love it!) Overnight in a rustic lodge in Whitefish Montana caps off another perfect day!

DAY SIX

After a "Montana-sized" breakfast buffet we're off to Canada and our nex stop. (and more food if you think you need it)!  Fort Steele Heritage town is a totally functioning fort dating back to it's construction by the Northwest Mounted Police (the original Canadian "Mounties") in 1864. Very interesting place. Next we ride north flanked by the Percell Mountains to the left and The Rocky Mountains to the right.  overnight is at the Radium Hot Springs Lodge within the Kootenay national Park.  Soak in the healing waters of Radium Hot Springs.....guaranteed a great nights sleep!
